Emily's Story

“Emily” contacted Life Forward because she was unsure what to do about her unplanned pregnancy. She was considering taking the abortion pill but wanted  to explore all of her options. After their first phone conversation, her Client Educator sent Emily digital resources via text message. Along with this, her Client Educator sent a text message to Life Forward supporters inviting them to pray for Emily as she wrestled with her decision.

During a follow-up call, Emily was still really struggling and questioning. Her Client Educator shared with her “that the Bible is full of stories of people who had questions for God and about God.” This led to a deeper conversation and prayer. Her Client Educator also shared the Gospel with Emily. At the end of the call, Emily said, “I’ve never had anyone pray for me before. Thank you.”

In these uncertain times, Life Forward continues reaching out to our clients. We text and email life-affirming videos and important information to them as they consider their options. We talk with and pray for them over the phone. We’ve also started using digital tools such as Facebook groups to offer support and enouragement to expecting moms. In spite of these days of being physically separated from one another, Life Forward is still connecting with women in need and planting seeds of faith in their hearts and lives.
