Trisha's Story

“Trisha” walked into Life Forward on a chilly fall day. Feeling ashamed about being pregnant again and struggling financially, she wasn’t sure about moving forward with her pregnancy. She hesitantly agreed to the no-cost pregnancy test offered by Life Forward but refused an ultrasound procedure. Shanna, one of Life Forward’s Client Educators, offered her words of encouragement as they talked about her circumstances.

Shanna then graced Trisha with care packages for both her and the father of the baby. Shanna also gave her a few items for her other children. All of these acts of kindness seemed to impact Trisha greatly. Shanna could see the weight and anxiety lift from Trisha’s face as they continued to talk.

The next day, Trisha called Life Forward to say that she wanted to make an appointment for an ultrasound. She also shared that she was now at peace regarding her pregnancy.
