Briana's Story

When “Briana” first contacted Life Forward early in her pregnancy, she wasn’t sure she wanted to have a baby in her life. She was really struggling in her relationship with the baby’s father. The situation just seemed too complicated and her first thought was to have an abortion.

Throughout Briana’s pregnancy, Life Forward walked alongside her. We provided the first opportunity for her to see her baby and hear her heartbeat by performing an ultrasound. After Briana decided to keep her baby, Life Forward offered her one-on-one parenting sessions to help her prepare for becoming a mom. And, near the end of her pregnancy, when things got scary for Briana, Life Forward reached out with love, care and concern.

Briana shared with her Client Educator that she was experiencing some late-term serious health problems. Her Client Educator listened to her, encouraged her and prayed with her. Additionally, her Client Educator surprised Briana by giving her one of our Client Care Packages that included items specifically designed to help her with some of the challenges she faced with her pregnancy.

While not all of her relationship challenges with the baby’s father are resolved and her end-of-pregnancy health problems were really difficult, with Life Forward’s help and a new-found sense of hope, Briana has persevered. This simple act of giving Briana a Care Package was, in her eyes, an overwhelming sign of God’s grace. No one had ever shown such care for Briana before in her life.

Life Forward continues to share the love of Jesus Christ with hundreds of other women like Briana each year.
