Courtney's Story: From Regret to Blessing

When “Courtney” visited Melissa at Life Forward’s Springdale location, she shared that this is her third pregnancy.  She began to cry as she spoke with Melissa about her first pregnancy which ended in an abortion. "I was young and it wasn't a good time but I regret it."  Courtney went on to share; "Growing up, I went to church with my best friend all the time.  I miss it.  We just moved to Cincinnati and I’ve been thinking about going to church.  I think I've been hearing from God a lot. I want a relationship and not religion." Melissa encouraged Courtney to continue pursuing prayer and a connection with a church. She also talked with Courtney about God’s forgiveness and shared the Gospel with her. Melissa shares that Courtney was really engaged as she heard God’s plan of salvation through Christ. Courtney ended their conversation by saying, "I know God is there, and he brings me peace.  I've been working on my negative thoughts and I feel like this baby is a blessing - an answer to prayer."

 While you may wonder sometimes if your support of Life Forward is making a difference. While you may not have been physically in the room with Melissa as she shared the Gospel with Courtney, your support made that moment possible. You helped Courtney hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
