From Fear to Joy: Tasha's Story

Each year Life Forward helps almost 900 women through difficult circumstances with an unplanned pregnancy. Here’s one story from Tasha:

I couldn’t believe it. Was this for real? I thought I was done with having kids. I already have an 11-year-old and a 9-year-old. I’d just started back to school to become a medical assistant. I have plans for the future that didn’t include a new baby. Can I really do this? Is this even possible? Is there anyone who would even want to help me?

When I first walked in the door at Life Forward, my emotions were all over the place. I felt nervous, scared, unsure of what to do and if the people here could really help me. I got a pregnancy test and an ultrasound right away. I was both excited and relieved to find out that Life Forward offered parenting classes and I could get some of the baby items I really needed like a crib and a car seat. They didn’t judge me. They just did what they could to help me. It was obvious that they really cared about me.

My son Brayden was born in May. He’s a joy in my life and he’s trying really hard to keep up with his older sister and brother. I couldn’t have come this far without the help of Life Forward. I want to personally thank you for your past support that helped my family.
