Madison's Story: Hearing the Gospel

When “Madison” first reached out to Life Forward, she was looking for help regarding her unplanned pregnancy. However, God used her encounter with Life Forward to help her take the next step in her spiritual journey.

Madison contacted Life Forward hoping to get a pregnancy test and an ultrasound. She marked on her intake paperwork that she wanted her relationship with God to be better. During her pre-appointment phone meeting she elaborated that she went to church as a child, but hasn’t been in a while and only prays when she needs something. She really desires this to change.

Hannah, Life Forward’s Assistant Director of Client Services, shared the gospel with Madison and she was receptive to hearing it. Madison then shared something that she was convicted about with Hannah. They closed their conversation together in prayer and Madison prayed about her conviction of sin. As a follow-up, Hannah sent Madison some electronic resources designed to help her grow spiritually. When Madison came for her in-person visit to Life Forward, Hannah gave her a Bible along with some additional spiritual resources.

An old Chinese proverb states , “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” For Madison, this was another step in her journey toward a life in Christ. We’re grateful that Hannah was equipped and ready to help Madison along the way. Please join us in praying for Madison as she prepares to be a new mom and seeks to grow in her faith.
